New Mexico Civic Engagement Table and the Center for Civic Policy will be hosting a GOTC, Get Out the Count, Activation Canvassing On-Boarding Training in the Bernalillo County Area at the NMDT Office, 1117 Stanford NE, Albuquerque NM 87131.
The purpose is to provide train the trainer canvassing and capacity building to optimize the activation phase of Get Out To Count (GOTC) for #2020Census field operations.
1) Participants will have a clear understanding of the individual and collective responsibility as GOTC canvasser to report from March 12th to May 12th as part of outreach #, conversations at the doors, and completed #2020Census form per day and week.
2) Participants will craft and practice the GOTC script at the doors that included Census Online Self-Response Form assistance.
3) Participants will practice door knocking techniques and best tips as canvassers to engage folxs at the doors, ensuring the importance to collect the right data in every attempt that we have using VAN system
4) Participants will share best practices from GOTV experiences and how to ensure to create an GOTC momentum and emotion with benchmark goals as part of the field operation canvassing sprint from March 12th – May 12th
