On September 11, five members of New Mexico’s Congressional delegation have asked the U.S. Census Bureau to address concerns about the 2020 Census operations in the state. Among the questions, which the Congressional delegation would like answered by September 25, include:
- What strategies have the Bureau employed to enumerate Tribal communities that remain closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic?
- How does the Bureau plan to complete the count in New Mexico at is current staffing levels?
- How will you reassure Tribal Nations within New Mexico that you will provide accurate, usable data for them?
